Baby Bump - Through the Months

When I look down at my stomach, it really doesn't look that big to me. It just seems like I'm carrying around a basketball in my shirt. It is when I take a look from the side in the mirror, or in photos, that it really hits me that I definitely look 9 months pregnant.

I had a woman stop me in the hall at work today and say "Whoa! You look huge! Please tell me that you are close to the end." Why yes, yes I am close to giving birth. And yes, thank you for your random comment. It is a good thing that I don't have self image issues.

I have been having Greg take photos of the growing belly bump throughout my pregnancy. I love seeing the process of how things go from point A to point B, so here are my baby bump photos from "itty bitty" to "whoa, huge!"

On vacation in Costa Rica. I think I was about 8 weeks here.
4 months (16 weeks)
Almost 5 months (19 weeks). Definitely starting to show.
5 1/2 months (22 weeks)
25 1/2 weeks with Miss Ella in the background.
7 months (29 weeks)
7 1/2 months (30 weeks)
8 months (33 weeks)
9 months!! (36 weeks)
It is hard to believe that we only have less than 4 weeks until Baby Ernie makes her debut! We are very excited. I'm sure I'll take a few more belly shots before then too.

What's in a name?

So after months of talking about starting a blog, I'm finally doing it. I've always loved writing, and with Baby Ernie on the way, I have a great excuse to share stories about her life and my life in this blog.

The hardest part, besides actually getting started, was deciding what I was going to call this little blog. After much thought and deliberation, I finally settled on "Chateau de la Ernzen." This was my favorite title because I love most everything French, and I figured it would encompass everything about our lives.

I don't know if anyone will even read this, besides two of my best friends who are (and will be) living overseas for a bit of time, but I think this will be something fun that I'll try my best to update as often as I can.

Enjoy!!
