Two Weeks Old!

Grace Sally was two weeks old on October 1, which happens to be the one year anniversary of the passing of my Mom (Grandma Sally). Mom put up the most courageous and difficult fight against a disease that still was not diagnosed at the time of her death. After 14 long years, Mom drifted off to sleep in peace and I know that she looks over us from heaven every day. She is my angel and is Grace's angel too. Grace was definitely named after a special woman and I will do everything I can to help her know her grandmother and how amazing she was. Her memory lives on in me and I will pass it on to my daughter.

Here are a few photos from our two week photo shoot. Gracie wasn't super happy in a few of these, and I'm pretty sure she is getting sick of Mom with the camera.

First Time For Everything

It is the most amazing thing to share in all of Grace's "firsts." We have had a busy three weeks of introducing her to many first things. First bath, first walk in the stroller, first book read by Mommy, first trip to Target, first ladies' night out -- all very momentous occasions. She has enjoyed all of her firsts, with the exception of the bath. She still hates those, but I think we are making progress.

One Week Old!!!

Grace was one week old on September 24th. Here are a few photos of her from that day.

Coming Home For The First Time

I can't believe that we have been home from the hospital for 3 weeks now. Time is really flying by and Grace will be 4 weeks on Friday! We are cherishing every moment we have with our little girl. Here are some photos of our first time coming home from the hospital. And more photos to come, I promise!!

A Room with a View: The Nursery

Although she hasn't quite slept in it yet, here is Miss Grace's room. The theme is turtles/under the sea with a hint of polka dots and plaids. Most everything is from Pottery Barn Kids, and the turtle photos are from Etsy. I'm in the process of needlepointing a turtle for her too. The rocker/glider is from Babies R Us. My favorite piece of the room is the dresser, which belonged to my grandfather Bobo. The desk/vanity belonged to my grandmother GJ, but will find a new home soon at my sister's new house.
